International Seminaries "Nuestro Patrimonio Común" were designed in 2000 as a basic tool for Asociación de Historia Actual which was to be created yet. The first edition took place in Universidad de Cádiz, on january 2001. Since then its prestige and influence have been growing as so it did the number and quality of the participants. Initially, they were came up with as an academic forum for iberoamerican exchange, with spanish, portuguese and iberoamerican teachers and researchers.
Following editions of the NPC Seminaries were increasing the range, with the incorporation of academics of other european countries and the Magreb, which let go deeper into the analysis of atlantic space as human ecosystem and multicultural ecumene.
Since 2005, AHA transformed the NPC seminaries in a permanent forum for discussion about global issues, with special atention to dialogue between Orient and Occident, that has encouraged the participation of teachers and researchers from everywhere in the world.
