L’ “età dell’oro” della storiografia sul Partito comunista italiano (1960-1989)

Resumen/Abstract
El artículo revisa la etapa más floreciente de la historiografía italiana sobre el comunismo y, en particular, del Partido Comunista Italiano (PCI), desde principios de los '60 a finales de los '70. Reconstruida gracias a la particular situación que ha hecho posible el acceso anticipado a las más interesantes fuentes archivísticas. Explica por qué los estudiosos extranjeros prestaron una gran atención al caso italiano, y señala el carácter específico de la historiografía comunista italiana, que, sin renunciar a su compromiso político, fue notable por su profesionalidad y rigor científico. Por último, detalla el lento declive de la centralidad de la "cuestión comunista" en la historiografía italiana, y la renovación de sus métodos y temática en los '80.

The "golden age" of the historiography on the Italian Communist party (1960-1989)
Abstract
The article reviews the richest season of Italian historiography on communism and the Italian communist party, from the early ‘60es to the late ‘70es. It traces back the peculiar situation which has made precociously available the most interesting archival sources. It explains why foreign scholars showed a strong attention for the Italian case, and points out the specific character of Italian communist historiography, which, while never giving up its political commitment, was conspicuous for its professional qualities. It finally follows the slow decline of the “communist question” as a central issue in Italian historiography, and the renewal of its methods and issues in the 80es.
